Cultural Performances

The cultural performances at the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival will feature a diverse array of artistic expressions, showcasing a rich tapestry of traditions and talents:

  1. Laotian American Performance: A live appearance promoting education, cultural awareness, and services available in Georgia, with a focus on the Laotian American community. This performance aims to bridge cultural gaps and uplift voices, celebrating Laotian heritage.
  2. Music Around The World: Music Around the World is an ensemble of student musicians and dancers from Summit Academy, led by instructor Jenny Moss. Students study and perform diverse global music and dance traditions, including Spanish flamenco, Caribbean bomba, Hawaiian hula, and Japanese taiko drumming.
  3. Sanggar Lestari Indonesia: Sanggar Lestari Indonesia is an Indonesian performing arts group based in Atlanta. The group is dedicated to preserving and promoting Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage through traditional dance and music, with a focus on inspiring younger generations. Sanggar Lestari Indonesia has performed at numerous cultural festivals and community events across the Southeast, sharing the diversity and beauty of Indonesian culture with broad audiences.
  4. UMAS Karate: A martial arts school from Conyers, Georgia, will showcase American martial arts, focusing on building confidence, focus, and self-discipline for all ages.
  5. Mahealani’s Polynesian Entertainment: Dawn, a hula dancer and entertainer from Oahu, brings Polynesian culture to life through performances that celebrate Hawaiian and Polynesian traditions. Her company promotes cultural education and the values of aloha.
  6. Strings Of The Heart: Strings of the Heart delivers a captivating fusion of Indian classical and contemporary world music, featuring sitar and tabla. Blending traditional melodies with modern influences, their performance offers a dynamic and immersive experience that brings global musical traditions to life on the festival stage.
  7. Georgia Renaissance Festival Musicians: A variety of folk-rock bands and solo musicians will perform, dressed as medieval peasants, villains, and members of the Royal Court, giving a taste of the upcoming Georgia Renaissance Festival, celebrated from April to June in Fairburn.
  8. Barbie Lu Hines - Afro-Peruvian Dance: Barbie presents Afro-Peruvian dance, celebrating the rich music and movement traditions developed by Black communities in Peru. Through this performance, audiences of all ages are introduced to the vibrancy and cultural significance of Afro-Peruvian heritage.
  9. Djoli Kelen - African Drums and Dance: Djoli Kelen Inc. is an Atlanta–based intergenerational cultural arts collective dedicated to preserving and celebrating African and Diasporic traditions through dance, music, and cultural education. Through performances, workshops, and community programs, the organization promotes cultural understanding and artistic expression, inspiring audiences through the rich heritage and vitality of African arts.
  10. Euzcal Folkloric Group - Mexican Dance: This performance showcases traditional Mexican dances representing diverse regions of Mexico. Through vibrant choreography and music, the group celebrates Mexico’s cultural heritage while inspiring audiences of all ages through the artistry and traditions of folkloric dance.
  11. Next Stage Dance Studio: Next Stage Dance Studio is a dynamic, hip-hop–focused studio led by Maki, a professional dancer who brings her expertise from Japan to the United States. The studio is dedicated to sharing global dance influences and inspiring dancers through high-energy performances and innovative choreography.

These performances offer a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of cultures and traditions from across the globe.

Ultimate Air Dog Show Schedule

Ultimate Air Dogs has risen to the top through its approachable, grassroots ethics and a commitment to making every competitor feel welcome. At the heart of UAD is a philosophy centered on family. Unlike traditional discipline-based sports, two handlers are permitted on the dock at a time to assist their dogs in maintaining a “sit,” ensuring a supportive and encouraging environment for all participants. From the smallest jumper to the most daring high flyer, Ultimate Air Dogs welcomes dogs of all breeds and sizes—from Yorkies to Great Danes—as long as they can swim.

At Ultimate Air Dogs, every dog is special. We celebrate all breeds and mixes, ensuring that every participant has the opportunity to shine.

Rucker Entertainment is a family-owned and operated business with over 16 years of experience bringing excitement to events. Their mission is simple: they deliver the fun and create unforgettable experiences for guests.

Inspired by their own children, they offer an action-packed selection of inflatables, carnival rides, and unique attractions, including their newest addition, the "Braylin Castle" bounce house, named after their latest family member. Safety is their top priority, ensuring everyone has a fun and secure experience.

Their services include a trackless train, thrilling carnival rides, and a variety of inflatables for all ages. They offer wristbands for unlimited inflatable play at $20 for all-day access. Carnival rides range from $5 to $7 per ride, with ticket books available for savings and extra tickets. Join us for an exciting Music Showcase at the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival on Sunday, March 22nd, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Stage 2! This event will feature amazing performances from local schools and clubs, showcasing their talent and hard work through energetic performances. It’s the perfect opportunity to support our community while enjoying a day filled with fun, spirit, and incredible talent. Bring your family, friends, and lots of energy to experience an unforgettable celebration. We can’t wait to see you there! Let’s celebrate our roots and cheer together at the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival!

Young Artist Recognition

Join us in honoring the brightest and most talented young artists in our community at the Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday, March 21st, at 12:00 PM on the main stage!

This special event will highlight the creative works of art students from the Sketching Pad's festival art classes, as well as students from C.J. Hicks Elementary School, who participated in the “Stepping into Nature” project for the Big Haynes Creek Nature Center, and Rockdale County Public School students who contributed to the Frog Habitat Project. We may also feature a few homeschool students who worked on creating frog hotels, though this has yet to be confirmed.

Mayor Vince Evans, Councilman Charlie Bryant, and Shelli Siebert from the Conyers Rockdale Arts Council will be present to recognize these young artists and their exceptional contributions.

Come out and support these rising stars as we celebrate their creativity, dedication, and hard work. It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase the talents of our future artists and engage with our vibrant community.

Pony Patch

Since 1987, The Pony Patch in Griffin, Georgia, has been delighting children of all ages with their exciting pony rides. They specialize in providing off-site pony rides for special events, including hand-led and carousel rides.

The Pony Patch is a licensed business with both state and county certifications, and prioritize safety for all participants. Their ponies are well-groomed, clean, and well-mannered.

Many of the ponies are raised on their farm, where three generations of family members work together to care for the animals. All of the ponies are friendly, healthy, and ready to add magic to your experience.
